What is Big Game Trained?
Big Game Trained is a company that specializes in getting people prepared for big game hunting in the west. For our launch in 2024, our content and camp experiences will mainly focus on preparation for archery elk hunting as well as general western hunting skills and tactics. In the future, it is our hope to expand our offerings to include material on many other western big game hunting opportunities.
Who is Big Game Trained For?
Big Game Trained Camps are for people new to western big game hunting and/or hunters that have limited experience with it and want to get better at it.
More specifically, our camps focus on preparing hunters for one of the most sought after hunts offered in the west – archery elk hunting in the mountains.

I’ve been through the learning process of hunting big game in a number of the western states and can answer many of the questions that people have which could help them avoid the troubles that I had during the process – ultimately saving them time and money and lead to an overall more positive experience.”
Our camps are open to any and all individuals who have a desire for western big game hunting including men, women, and children. Though the camp is catered to archery elk hunting, the knowledge gained during your experience will give you the basic skills and ability to go on other adventures such as a rifle elk hunt or even a mule deer hunt.
What does it mean to be Big Game Trained?
The goal with Big Game Trained Camps is that trainees will gain the knowledge, tools, and skillset to be able to confidently embark on a western big game hunt. Our before, during and after the hunt process learned at Big Game Trained Camps are designed to eliminate many of the doubts that hunters have before booking a western hunt and hopefully leads them to more success at the end of their hunts.
